Jew GoogleBomber Jew
As of March 20th, an antisemitic website, not to be named here and operated by a white power nationalist who is also not to be named, has again taken the top spot in the Google search results for the word, "Jew." In 2005, a campaign started by the blog Jewschool helped knock the antisemitic website down to the lowly second position by early 2006, and brought the Wikipedia description for Jew up to its rightful place at number one. Unfortunately, the antisemitic site is now back at number one. The technique used to rearrange the Google results is called Googlebombing.

As described in Wikipedia, due to the way that Google's PageRank algorithm works, a page will be ranked higher if the sites that link to that page all use consistent anchor text. A Google bomb is created if a large number of sites link to the page in this manner.

So my friends, what we all need to do is link to that same Wikipedia description for Jew in the same manner and embed it in our blogs (for the correct way to do it look at the right hand column of this page under "Googlebomb"). The more we link to it, the higher it'll go in the Google results.

You can even do this: Jew, Jew, Jew!!! I'm not sure more than one link per blog makes a difference, but I don't think it hurts either!

Wanderer: when you type in Jew, there is a statement from Google about this whole thing...did you see that?

Yes I did see that statement - there was quite an outcry when these search results were first noted. Anti-Defamation League got involved, the works, and Google decided to explain themselves rather than artificially tinkering with (or censoring) the search results.

Interesting though that they don't have any problems censoring searches in China , for example. (Be sure and blow up the window to full size if clicking on the link).

C'mon Stacey and Cruisin' Mom, add the code to your blogs!

All you need to do is link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jew when you use the word Jew in one of your posts. And Lord knows the word Jew comes up often enough...
